Some are available translated into a number of languages in addition to US English. The DeltaQuest licensing fee structure is tailored to the study size, number of time points and the number of needed language versions, as well as needs for confirming accuracy of new translations. Special rates are available to accommodate academic research that is unfunded or under-funded.
Following is a listing of the DeltaQuest copyrighted work, comprising measurement tools that are available for licensing. All licensees are provided with a Scoring Instructions Primer for ease of use. Additionally, technical support can be further provided for assistance in setting up study methods/protocols for use of these measurement tools and in analysis of data obtained with these protocols.
The QOL Appraisal Profile v2 Short Form assesses the four cognitive appraisal processes described in the Rapkin and Schwartz (2004) theoretical model and validated in 2016, using 28 close-ended Likert-scaled items: [1] Frame of Reference: Goal Delineation (6 items); [2] Sampling of Experience (4 items); [3] Combinatory Algorithm (9 items); and [4] Standards of Comparison (9 items).
The QOL Appraisal Profile-v1 Short-Form was developed to assess the four appraisal parameters in the Rapkin and Schwartz (2004) appraisal model in a brief manner using both open- and closed-ended items. It includes a subset of 4 open-ended Frame of Reference prompts, including three Goal Delineation items that were selected from the original six based on empirical research[CS1.1]. It also includes the closed-ended Sampling of Experience, Standards of Comparison, and Patterns of Emphasis (Combinatory Algorithm) items, a Then-Test Visual Analogue Scale item, and 11 Then-Test Discrepancy Attribution statements. It is designed to be used as an adjunct to standard QOL measures. Data from the Appraisal Profile are coded and reduced to created scores for: (1) frame of reference; (2) recall and sampling of salient experiences; (3) standards of comparison used to appraise experiences; (4) subjective algorithm used for prioritizing and combining appraisals to arrive at a QOL rating
